Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning and Administration
Our Wills, Probate and Trusts department has highly-experienced practitioners in both our offices.
Making a Will is both sensible and practical - it brings you complete peace of mind – it is a record of what you want to happen on your death in terms of who is to benefit from your estate and who is to be responsible for carrying out your wishes. It is therefore important that a Will is prepared accurately and validly. Our practitioners are highly trained and knowledgeable in will drafting and the associated areas of law e.g. tax, trusts, conveyancing so as to be able to provide a full and comprehensive service from start to finish.
If, after a death, you are appointed as an Executor in the Will and need help dealing with the administration of the estate, our caring and sensitive practitioners are on hand to help you along every step of the way. We pride ourselves in providing a highly-efficient and communicative service advising on all legal and practical aspects of estate/trust administration. You can feel safe in the knowledge that we are here for you at what is often a particularly difficult time.
Inheritance Tax Planning/Advice
With careful planning, it is possible to reduce the size of your taxable estate – but it can be complex. It’s important to think a long way ahead, as some aspects of IHT planning need seven years to take full effect. Our expert practitioners can advise you as to putting suitable arrangements in place as well as advising you as to the position as to Inheritance Tax as part of estate administration.
